Get Your Kicks

To those living in Joplin, or even the surrounding area, driving Route 66 is the same as taking Main Street. The majority of Joplinites utilize the historic path nearly every day. But, have you ever really explored our little portion of the Mother Road through the eyes of a tourist? If you haven’t traveled the highway, you should! As an important part of America’s history, it’s an experience that all community members should partake in.

For those of you who don&rsquo...

Aren’t You Curious?

Joplin is an ever growing city. And, like any city, Joplin also has a history. But how often do you legitimately think about it? Or ponder what areas were most attractive to settlers back in the day? Curiosity can lead to many great findings.

Imagine yourself placed in the late19th century – the right to vote is no longer based on race or servitude, Republicans turned into elephants, and the telephone and can opener are newly developed entities.

Rising From The Rubble

“On the count of three, we inaugurate this medical school!”

If you attended the event Tuesday afternoon, this brief, yet powerful, statement should ring familiarity. On June 6th, 2017, Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences cut the ribbon and opened the new Joplin campus. The first Missouri medical school in nearly 50 years! How proud and honored are we?!

Joplin’s community is quickly being rebuilt, rising from the rubble like a phoenix, after the horrifically devastating tornado in 2011.

Renew. Energize. Donate.

It’s that time of year again, friends. RED Day is upon us, here at Keller Williams, and we couldn’t be more excited!

“RED Day isn’t about cleaning up a park. It is a one-day expression of what happens 24/7 in the Keller Williams culture. It is seeing a need, discovering who can meet that need and then getting it done."

For those of you who are unfamiliar:

RED stands for Renew, Energize...

Lawn Chair Living Room

Life in the Midwest is a beautiful thing. And most definitely comical to those who live on the outside of our little bubble of an area. Trends and traditions are vastly different from those experienced elsewhere. And, if you’re an outsider, you notice each and every strange practice, staring bewildered and amazed as you pass by.

The Joplin Globe’s Marti Attoun recently submitted a column, titled “Garage Sitting is an Ozarks thing”, which highlights one of the more Spring-driven trends. And...

Get Off The Fence

Just like our crazy Missouri weather, the real estate market often fluctuates, making it tough to predict whether the market will favor buyers or sellers. Right now, the trends in real estate are strongly pointing toward those of a sellers’ market in the Joplin area.

What is a sellers’ market, you might ask? Well, in the simplest of terms, there are more buyers than homes for sale. When warmer weather becomes the new norm, buyers begin to circulate the sale trail! And, though you might...

A Pocket Full Of Sunshine

Spring is officially here! And as long as the weather continues to match the trends, we will too. Birds are chirping, temperatures are rising, and tendrils of sunshine are stretching out to us all! Today, we're going to share some of our sunshine and shed some light on a common occurance in real estate! You've spent years building and shaping a home into the "perfect fit" for you. Alas, everyone grows, and ideas change. Selling your home becomes inevitable, at some point. And...

Throwback Thursday

Are you currently trying to sell your house? Don’t get discouraged if your home has been on the market longer than you had originally hoped. Sometimes, you just need to take a page out of the past to figure out what needs to be done to help you sell more quickly! So, today, we’re going to throw it back to the 1980’s for some advice from Sylvia Porter, who frequented the Lost Angeles Times Syndicate with an article titled “Your Money’s...

It’s For The Children

We do all of these great things in the real estate world – help people sell their houses, reach out and assist those who wish to buy a home, and answer as many questions as possible concerning the business in general. But, we also enjoy reaching out to the community when the moment presents itself. Because, who doesn’t love a good charity event? It gives you that warm, fuzzy feeling deep in the cockles of your heart; especially when knowing, and witnessing firsthand, what the efforts...
